This is a great way to use sliced loaf bread you have made that might not be fresh from the oven - day old bread? - or bread that might not have turned out so swiftly? Hmmm...hide it away in the yummy all-in-one breakfast dish :)

ALL-IN-ONE Breakfast Do Ahead

Prepare the evening before you want to serve it for breakfast. I do this Saturday nights about 9 pm in preparation for Sunday Morning Breakfast and serve it with fresh fruit and hot cocoa.

Brown 1 lb. of spicy bulk breakfast sausage and drain. Cool.
Grease a 9x13 glass baking dish and layer the bottom of it thickly with cubes of bread (takes about 3 thick slices)
Cover it with the crumbled, drained sausage.
Sprinkle the sausage layer heavily with fine grated white/yellow cheeses.
Next in a bowl beat up 8 eggs, 2 1/2 cups milk, dashes of salt & pepper, and a tsp. of yellow mustard.
Pour this over all and then sprinkle the top with more grated cheese and another slice of bread you have ground to bread crumbs in the blender or food processor.
Cover tightly and place in the refrigerator. Next morning bake at 350 degrees for 45 mninutes.

NOTE: Since your dish is cold from the refrigerator -place it directly into the cold oven and then turn the oven on. Putting a cold dish (a glass baking dish) into a hot oven is not a good idea.
