I heard from a struggling home baker recently -- just so discouraged with her results in her homemade bread.

She received the HOMEBAKERS DVD and wrote me again with her success! whoohoo!  She did it!

She wrote me re: the DVD:

" I would love any help I can get. I am a bit of a “rare” breed here. I only have one friend that wants to be a homemaker in every sense of the word (by that I mean wants to sew, cook, bake and raise babies!). And her bread isn’t doing so well either! We don’t really have any older Titus 2 women in our lives that like to bake bread. Plenty of ladies at church, but they are all more into convenience foods I guess. Anyhow, I would appreciate your wisdom.

After veiwing the DVD and following the step by step instructions and using my recipe she wrote again:

I just wanted to write and say thank you so much for your bread dvd! It was a HUGE help. I learned so much that I never knew before. For instance, about using a thermometer to gauge the water temperature, and not measuring flour. Both of those made a significant difference I believe. I went shopping bought some SAF yeast and King Arthur Unbleached All-purpose to go with my fresh milled flour and I made Best Bread! It turned out so well. My husband was shocked and very happy with my efforts. He said it was the best loaf I have ever done. So again, thank you. After over two years of trying to make a decent loaf I feel very accomplished and confident with my bread! Sincerely,

PS. My loaf looks a bit different in shape and size because I use a Pullman Loaf Pan. Also, I was really impressed with your Bosch. I have a Kitchenaid. The largest stand mixer they make actually. And I had to cut your recipe in HALF to get it to work in there! I had never heard of the Bosch Universal Mixer when I purchased my stand mixer, but I will certainly be looking into it when my Kitchenaid takes a dive!  Thank you again for everything.
